Struggle=Strength

Episode 6: House of the Rising Sun

The asian guy (I still don’t know his name) seriously attacked Michael that was insane! And totally out of nowhere! He called him a thief…? I wonder what he could be talking about. This is a good example of why communication is important hah. At least Sun wants to tell them. I can’t believe her husband doesn’t want her to.

And Sun’s flashbacks are super sad. It looks like he must have killed someone for her father. Good thing my dad isnt some super rich guy having people kill other people. That way I don’t have to worry about him hiring my lover in exchange to marry me and then never letting him be home to spend time with me. So sad.

Great idea about moving everyone straight to the water source. Only thing is that will make people feel like they’re giving up hope of being rescued. Not being on the beach will cause people to no feel like they’re waiting anymore, and rather just surviving.

I’ve decided I like Sawyer. He can be a jerk but he’s just got attitude. He really does have good intentions I think. He’s just one of those “tough” “asshole” types

Episode 7: The Moth

Don’t piss of the guy going through withdrawals Locke haha Can’t believe he used him as bait! LOL that was a good idea though I guess.

“I’m a bloody Rock God” and then all the rocks come tumbling down!!! Hahahaha I mean it isn’t funny but dang that sure is ironic.

I love Locke’s analogy of the moth! “Struggle is natures way of strengthening us” Or we could say Struggle is God’s way of strengthening us” Pretty much the same thing in my mind J So proud of Charlie for taking the drugs and throwing them in the fire! Talk about really giving it up. It’s not like he can get any more anytime soon even if he wanted to.

I think everyone realized/confirmed their suspicions about the connection between Jack and Kate. And they both have realized it. Finally haha. Wonder how long it will take for that to develop into something

I havn’t decided if I would have been in the “pessimist group or the optimist group” as far as where I would stay on the island. I think it’s a good idea for a while to have some in both places, that way if a rescue boat does come by they will still be seen. Wondering how long its gonna take, considering I already that they will be there for 6 seasons, for them to all give up and go to the caves too.

Leaders Arise

Episode 4: Walkabout (Locke's Flashbacks)

Ok Locke is a badass with all his knives. Should be interesting to find out the story behind that one. He freakin’ caught that wild boar all by himself in the jungle! I mean seriously!? haha

It’s the 4th day and they’re out of food. Things are gonna start getting pretty interesting.

I havn’t quite figured Jack out yet. Something about his past makes him uncomfortable in situations involving religion or spirituality or death or something because he got all weird when the pregnant girl asked him to do the memorial service and when they were talking about how to get rid of the dead bodies.

My first tearing up moment: Locke’s flashback to when he was in a WHEELCHAIR!?!? Wtf? And then after the plane crash he could walk again?!?!? Woah BIG twist! But omg when he was trying to go on that walking expedition thing and the tour guy denied him, I didn’t even realize he was in a chair until that scene! But wow…that’s intense. The conclusion to this episode is Locke=Badass

Episode 5: White Rabbit (Jack's Flashbacks)

Ok who the hell is that mysterious man standing in the water?!?! That’s the second time that Jack has seen him. Hallucination? One of the many mysterious island things??? His DAD?!?!

Ok my guess is Jack is the lucky first victim of the island driving everyone insane.

Water is stolen. Jack was in Australia looking for his dad. Obviously didn’t find him if he was on his way back home but now he’s seeing him on the island…very strange. His back is always turned I wonder if that is symbolizing their relationship somehow.

Locke is off to get water. I’m not worried about him cause he got by fine on his own last time hah Oh my GOSH….Locke is saving Jack???? Seriously?????? Where in the world did he come from??!?! Dang Locke saves the day once again.

Quote of the episode, Locke to Jack “ A leader cant lead till he knows where he’s going.”

Jacks Hallucinations of his father led him to running water. It led him to his unfinished business of burying his father. To his coffin. Wait where’s the body!?! Is that not his fathers coffin? Well anyway I guess it just led him to let go. To finally be done with his father and let be over. And now are “fearless leader” is back to take charge of the situation!

Got a good look at Charlie’s shoulder tattoo: Living is easy with eyes closed. I wonder if they’re going to explain that later…or if it will be part of his flashbacks. A tattoo with that significant of a statement and having it show up that big on the screen in a scene completely unrelated must be foreshadowing something I would think.

Tabula Rasa (Ep.3)

A few things I forgot to mention about the pilot episode…

Love the old guy and his explanation of backgammon. I’ve always LOVED that game and I never really new the history of it. Super cool.

Oh and I cant believe Kate is the criminal…what did she do!?!?!?!

Ok so who is gonna die first?!?! This is like that game when you watch a horror movie. Trying to guess who’s gonna get killed off first haha. I thought maybe the black guy for a second when he went to look for his sons dog in the jungle and he was all alone.

I feel really bad for that guy that just wont die…man he sure is suffering. And then mr. tough guy had to go and shoot him in his lung instead of his heart…gah that sucks.

Talk about sexual tension. I can already predict that Kate and Jack are gonna hook up.

Everyone gets kudos in this episode. The old guy getting the kids dog back with the whistle and letting the dad take credit, Jack for telling Kate he didn’t care about her past and that they should all get to start over, the arab guy for tossing the tough guy an apple even though he had been a total jerk and even the asian guy for showing his soft side with his wife for a split second.

It was a cute little montage showing the unity between the characters, and then happiness that they still have in their hearts despite the situation, or maybe because of it.

Everything seemed all fine and dandy at the end and then they had to slow pan across the old guys face and put on this weird music that TOTALLY confused me…lol. Cant say I’m surprised though, I’m pretty sure I’m going to be confused and “lost” through most of this show. I think that’s the point…

Season 1: Pilot

WOWZA! Talk about an intense pilot episode. I can definitely understand why people got so sucked in. I could hardly breathe in the beginning when all the survivors were waking up and freaking out and trying to find their loved ones. When Jack pulled that guy out from under the rubble and his leg was cut off…yikes I had to look away. Then when Jack was looking at the cut on his back and he had Kate stitch it up for him man that was hardcore stuff. Some of the characters had a pretty weird introduction like the older guy and his creepy orange peel smile at Kate and when it rained he was the only one that didn’t run for cover…I guess I havnt quite figured him out yet. Quite a few jumper moments too like when the pilot woke up in the plane.

Character to hate: Blonde retarded useless toenail painting bitch whoever the heck she is.

A little worried about the asian guy he seems like he may not be a team player and whats with him being all creepy controlling of his wife.

Second character to hate: jerk blonde guy that blamed the arab guy and picks fights.

Character to love: SUPER sexy brother of the stupid blonde girl with the gorgeous eyes. Oh and the chubby guy who made sure everyone was fed on the first night J he’s a sweetheart.

Ok RANDOM golden retriever in the forrest! Totally threw me off...knew that had to be foreshadowing of some kind: later discovered to be the little black boys dog. Wondering if they will be reunited.

Handcuffs? Oh great we’ve got a criminal in our midst?!?…my guess would be the asian guy….haha. So Charlie has a drug problem…? What the heck is he stuffing in his lip? I guess Im just not that educated about drugs and what they look like lol Oh and sad of course there’s an arab guy who gets blamed for the whole plane crash thing…

Questions: Ok wtf is that mysterious growling thing that ate the pilot?!?!

What is that mysterious giant thing that is smashing the plants? Is that the infamous smoke monster?! A polar bear?!?! Wtf?!?

My Mission

Ok so here's the deal. When I was in Texas I made a promise to a dear friend of mine that this summer when I got back to California I would make a point to watch Lost. Even though the series is now over, its my turn to run and catch up to the bandwagon I am very late in jumping on.

I have also had a few people mention how I should start blogging again because they enjoyed my Texas blog so much. So here it is. I figured, since I don't have any fellow NEW "Losties" to bounce thoughts around with about the show as I make my way through it, I figured I could sort of journal my thoughts and ideas about what's going on with the story and the characters and maybe it could be entertaining for people to read...? Or not. Either way its happening so thats that.

As always comments are appreciated, especially from the Lost fans out there, just DON'T give anything away please! Let's see if I can make it through this whole thing before all 6 seasons are taken off Hulu on December 31. Wish me luck!
